Photo Accepted for 2022 Art in the Park by Weir Farm NHP
Weir Farm, a National Historical Park, accepted my image, “The Artist’s Corner”, for their 2022 Art in the Park Contest and Exhibit. Artists in several media categories submitted an image of their artwork inspired by or made at Weir Farm. Mine, of course, is in the Photography Category.

Weir Farm is the home and studio of one of the leading artists of American Impressionism, J. Alden Weir (1852 – 1919). His home and much-loved retreat for almost 40 years, provided an idyllic setting of painterly woods, fields, and waterways in the Connecticut countryside that Weir described as the “Great Good Place.”

Weir’s farm is considered a national legacy to American Impressionism, the creative spirit, and historic preservation. It’s a beautiful place to visit, and the only property in the National Park Service located in Connecticut.
