“Looking Back” Wins Ribbon at NECCC Interclub Competition
The New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) is a nonprofit umbrella group for more than 70 camera clubs in the New England states – Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. It is also a member of the Photographic Society of America (PSA). The Council was established in 1937 and incorporated in 1963.
Competition plays an important role in camera clubs as it offers judges’ critiques and constructive advice on how to improve a maker’s photograph. NECCC offers three interclub competitions – Fall, Winter and Spring.
During the 2019-2020 Winter season, my image, Looking Back, was awarded Honorable Mention in the Pictorial Class A. There were 41 participating clubs in pictorial – 23 in Class A and 18 in Class B.
Every year (2021 will mark its 75th year) the NECCC hold a 3-day photography conference offering classes, workshops, professional presenters, photo ops, models, a trade show, competitions and prizes with hundreds of people who share a passion for photography.
